Description

Information:

This test will help you plan your family. It gives a reliable indication of the expected time and occurrence of ovulation. Ovulation is the moment when a mature egg is ejected from the ovary into the fallopian tube, where it can be fertilised for a few hours. Ovulation is triggered by a sudden increase in the hLH hormone in the middle of the cycle.

The level of hLH hormone in the urine of women of childbearing age is 3-15 IU/l (international units (IU)/litre), which is about It increases to 200 IU/l 24 hours before ovulation. The test helps detect this increase. Since sperm usually survive for several days in the female body and
need some time to migrate to the egg, the rise in hormone levels also marks the beginning of the phase in which sexual intercourse is likely to lead to fertilisation of the egg.

However, because conception is affected by many factors, fertilisation can be delayed. An increase in the concentration of hLH in the urine indicates the likelihood of ovulation. If fertilisation fails for months with regular use, or if you do not notice an increase in hLH for three consecutive cycles, contact your doctor.

For a regular menstrual cycle, 5 test cassettes are sufficient. If your cycle is irregular, you may need more test cassettes.

Pregnancy or menopause, or taking a medicine containing hLH or hCG may alter the test result. In a benchmarking study with 64 participants, this test had a diagnostic sensitivity of 86.7% and a diagnostic specificity of 90.9%.
(CARE diagnostica, 2002).

Ingredients:
The test strips contain membranes coated with hLH antibodies.

Contents of the set:

  • box, 5 individually wrapped test cassettes and absorbent, test plate,
  • instructions for use.
  • In addition: a timing device and, if necessary, a clean container for collecting urine

Test objective:

Estimation of the window of opportunity for conception (non-contraception).

The importance of the test:

In the case of childbearing, the window of time when the egg can be fertilised can be checked.

Biographical background:

At the end of egg maturation, LH (luteinising hormone) shows a sudden rise.

High levels of this hormone trigger the expulsion of a mature egg from the follicle. Ovulation after the LH peak and the few days before menstruation are suitable for fertilisation.

How the test works

Higher levels of LH (average 3-15 mIU/mL) are detected by immunochromatography using the

from urine. This value rises to around 200 IU/L before ovulation. The test is calibrated to detect positivity above 30 mIU/L, i.e. it is sensitive to the elevated range.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Place the test stick on the packaging, after 10-15 minutes read the test result using the help on the back of the guide.

TESTING PERIOD

Set the length of your last monthly cycle on the plate in the kit.
The numbers displayed in the small window are the start and end dates of the time period to be tested.

Example: for a 25-day cycle, ovulation occurs on the 9th day after the start of menstruation. and starts on day 13 and ends on day 13. or until a positive result.

The detection limit of the ovulation test is 30 mIU/ml. Once the period is established, the test should be performed at the same time each day as described in this guide until a positive result is obtained.

If previous menstrual periods have been irregular, use the shortest cycle in the last six months to determine the test period.

Comment:

This immunoassay is used to detect hLH (human luteinising hormone) in a urine sample.
The substances used in the test (antibodies) are potentially infectious substances, but do not pose a hazard if the test components are used as intended.

APPRECIATION

If two purple lines appear in the scoreboard area and the lower line is of the same strength or stronger than the upper line, the result is positive and you are in a fertile period. In this case, there is no need for the additional test sticks, you can set them aside for the next cycle (if necessary).

If two purple lines appear in the result area and the top line is visibly stronger than the bottom line, or if only the top line is visible, the test is valid but ovulation has not yet started.

In this case, you will need to do further tests in the following days until you get a positive result.

The test is invalid if the purple line does not appear in the result window within 5-10 minutes or if only the test line (bottom) appears. Invalidity can be caused by incorrect sampling, damaged packaging or improper storage. In this case, contact the manufacturer.

A waiting time of more than 10 minutes will invalidate the test.

Always talk to your doctor before making an important health decision!

Dispose of the test accessories with your household waste after you have read the result.
