Sodium stearoyl glutamate:Natural emulsifierA hypoallergenic amino acid produced from glutamic acid and vegetable (palm or coconut) fatty acids. Hair and skin conditioner. It has cleansing properties that help keep the skin in good condition. The emulsifiers enable the conversion of immiscible ingredients such as water and oil into a stable emulsion. This allows both aqueous and oily active ingredients to be used in the same cosmetic.
Cocoglycerides: a mixture of mono-, di- and triglycerides derived from coconut oil. Coconut oil provides a moisturizing effect, leaving the skin soft and silky. They soften the cream and reduce the sticky, greasy feeling.
Hydrogenated vegetable glycerides ingredients that are produced by hydrogenation of vegetable oils. This process means that vegetable oils are treated with hydrogen gas to produce liquid oils in the form of solid fats or waxes. Hydrogenated vegetable glycerides are widely used in cosmetics. It does not have a germicidal effect, so it only prolongs the shelf life of hygienically unobjectionable products. Potassium sorbate is considered harmless and is therefore a perfect and natural substitute for parabens.
Sodium benzoate: sodium salt of benzoic acid, a substance found in many fruits and foods, such as blueberries and many other fruits, as well as honey, yoghurt, sour milk and cheese contains benzoic acid. Sodium benzoate is a preservative that works by inhibiting bacterial growth. Used in combination with other preservatives, such as potassium sorbate, it increases their effectiveness, so that fewer active ingredients are needed to achieve the same result.
Ethylhexylglycerol: glyceryl ether, has emollient and mild moisturising properties and can also improve the effectiveness of other preservatives in paraben-free products. It also improves the absorption of creams, reducing the oily feeling of the skin after lotion application, leaving it velvety and natural.
