What is the Digestive System Rapid Test for?

A rapid test is used to detect hidden bleeding in the faeces, which may indicate a gastrointestinal disorder but is not visible to the naked eye. As symptoms are not detectable, it is worth checking that the inside of your digestive tract is healthy by doing a rapid digestive tract test. Over the age of 45, it is advisable to have an annual digestive tract test to make sure your digestive tract is healthy or to consult a doctor in time to stay healthy.

The rapid test detects symptoms of diseases such as: colitis, ulcers, polyps, rectal fissures, colon cancer or oral bleeding.

The rapid test is an immunological test developed to self-test faecal blood. No special diet is required before the test. To ensure reliable results, stool samples are collected on 3 consecutive days.

Who should take the test?

• For everyone over the age of 45-50.
• For people with digestive complaints (e.g. constipation, diarrhoea, bloating).
• For those who experience recurrent abdominal pain, abdominal cramps.
• For those who have a change in bowel movements.
• For those who notice unusual, seemingly unprovoked weight loss.

• For regular drinkers.
• For those with a family history of colon or stomach cancer.

What is included in the test?

The box contains all the tools needed to carry out the test, such as:

1 sealed aluminium pouch, containing:

• test tape
• hood cushion

The Digestive System Rapid Test is CE certified!

Open the aluminium pouch only when you have everything you need to do the test and the 3 days stool sample is available. The hood cushion is not included in the testing process!

How to take the test

Before the test is performed, a stool sample should be collected as described below:

Sample collection

Day 1

1. Wash your hands with soap and rinse with clean water.
2. The faeces should be emptied into the special paper strip provided in the box. Use only one strip of paper each day.
3. Unscrew the cap of the sample tube and pierce in three different places approx. 2 cm deep into the stool sample.
4. Place the stool swab back inside the sample tube and close the cap. Shake the sample with the solution to mix thoroughly. Put the tube back in the plastic bag and keep it in the refrigerator between samples.
5. Remove the sample paper strip and flush it down the toilet.

Day two

Repeat steps 1-5.

Day three

Repeat steps 1-5.

Evaluation of the test after the three-day sample collection process:

Before performing the test, remove the sample collection tube from the refrigerator and wait until it and the test cassette are at room temperature.

1. At the marking, tear open the protective wrapping of the test cassette. Place it on a horizontal surface. Throw out the hood cushion!
2. Break off the end of the tube.
3. Squeeze the walls of the collection tube and drop 6 drops of the mixture into the round window of the test cassette.
4. Read the result in 10 minutes. Do not evaluate the test after 15 minutes!

Evaluation of the results

The colour intensity of the stripes that appear does not affect the result.

Pozitív eredmény

Két csík jelenik meg a kontrollfelületen: a T és a C jelzések alatt (nem számít, ha az egyik halványabb, mint a másik).
The result indicates that blood is present in the stool sample. If the result is positive, see your doctor!

Negatív eredmény

Csak egy csík jelenik meg a kontrollfelületen, a C jelzés alatt. This result means that there is no blood in the stool sample.

Érvénytelen eredmény

Érvénytelen eredménynek számít, ha egyetlen csík sem jelenik meg a kontrollfelületen, illetve, ha csak a T jelzés alatt látható elszíneződött csík. Mindkét esetben értékelhetetlen a teszt, javasolt egy új gyorsteszttel megismételni a vizsgálatot.
