Description
Do you often feel tired? Do you have frequent headaches? Are you prone to infections? The test can help you to determine whether your symptoms are caused by iron deficiency in just a few minutes. The RapiChek HomeCare premium quality test kit is designed to detect the most common problems and infections in a professional environment or at home, in the comfort and discretion of your home.
Iron deficiency is caused by inadequate iron intake and absorption from food, or iron loss from bleeding (such as menstrual bleeding, abnormal bleeding or ulcers), even during pregnancy or the growing phase, and has serious health consequences. The FerritinTEEST is designed to help diagnose iron deficiency. The final diagnosis must be confirmed by the doctor.
Each kit contains all the test components needed to perform the test: a test cassette, an instruction leaflet, a solution bottle with sample dilution buffer, 1 automatic sterile lancet for convenient blood collection, a glass capillary tube, a pipette, an alcohol insert and a patch. Results can be read within 10 minutes.
Background
The prevalence of iron deficiency is highest among young children and women of childbearing age. It is important that the organisation’s current iron stores are sufficient. Iron is stored as ferritin in a protein complex. Therefore, ferritin in human blood serum is a laboratory marker of the total amount of iron stored in the body. Fatigue, headache, paleness, palpitations or shortness of breath are all possible signs of iron deficiency.
DESCRIPTION
Iron deficiency is caused by inadequate iron intake and absorption from food or iron loss from bleeding (such as menstrual bleeding, abnormal bleeding or ulcers), even during pregnancy or the growing phase, and has serious health consequences. Fatigue, headaches, paleness, a pounding heartbeat or shortness of breath are all possible signs of iron deficiency.
EVALUATION OF THE TEST RESULT
To read the test result, just determine if an indicator strip is visible in the control (C) position. The strength or faintness of the control stripe (C) is not diagnostic.
POSITIVE TEST RESULT
If only the control strip (C) is visible but NO test strip (T), the test result is positive. This test result means that the blood ferritin level is low and so is the iron concentration. We recommend that you consult a doctor as you may be suffering from iron deficiency.
NEGATIVE TEST RESULT
If the indicator strip appears in the control (C) and test (T) positions, the test result is negative, regardless of the strength of the indicator strip. The result of the test means that the blood ferritin level, and therefore the iron concentration, is normal, i.e. there is no iron deficiency. Acute infections or inflammations, and diseases of the liver, spleen or kidneys can raise ferritin levels. If you notice any symptoms, please consult your doctor for further investigation.
INVALID TEST RESULT
If the control strip (C) does not appear in the test forms or only the test strip (T) is visible, it means that the test was not performed correctly and the result is invalid. It is important that you follow the instructions for testing exactly. Finish.
the test with a new blood sample and a new test.
