What is turmeric?

Turmeric is a traditional herb native to India and has long been used in Ayurveda. Turmeric is known for its active compound curcumin, which belongs to a group of naturally occurring plant-derived antioxidants called curcuminoids. Turmeric enhances blood circulation, supports collagen production, is an effective anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting compound, has a similar mechanism of action to flavonoids and antioxidants. Our turmeric extract is extracted from the root of Curcuma longa, 450 mg of a 3:1 extract provides the equivalent of 1350 mg.
