Description
COVID-19 is a combined test for painless detection of influenza A/B and RSV infection. It is also common in adults, but RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) is responsible for the majority of respiratory infections in children. Infants, young children and people over 50-60 years of age can be seriously affected and should be tested.
Who is it recommended for?
- When one or more common symptoms of three respiratory viral infections appear
- It is of critical importance for young children, family members with children and their relationships, the elderly and other groups at risk if any of them have symptoms, and for anyone who has come into contact with any of them, especially if they also have symptoms.
- As a preventive screening for members of any of the above groups at any time, but especially before and after family, community and social events, and to avoid asymptomatic spread of infection.
